In re: Flash Memory Antitrust Litigation
Case No. C07-0086, U.S.D.C., Northern District of California
March 2009

Hausfeld LLP is among the counsel for a putative class of direct purchaser plaintiffs in this antitrust class action in which plaintiffs allege price-fixing by the leading manufacturers of flash memory, a form of electronic memory that is used in devices such as memory cards, USB flash drives, personal computers, digital audio players, digital cameras, and mobile phones. Flash memory is less expensive than competing forms of memory, and it has become the dominant technology for use in devices requiring a significant amount of storage. The manufacturer defendants are based in Japan, South Korea, and the United States, and control the majority of the flash memory industry, a multibillion dollar market. The parties are in the midst of briefing class certification, which is due to be decided in October 2009.
