The N.F.L. Is Squeezing Discounters Over Apparel

The New York Times quotes Hausfeld LLP's Jon King on the National Football League's retail policies, now under scrutiny in an antitrust case before the U.S. Supreme Court: American Needle v. the N.F.L.

Recently, Hausfeld LLP filed an antitrust lawsuit against the NCAA on behalf of former student athletes. The suit alleges that the NCAA violated federal antitrust law by foreclosing former players from receiving any compensation related to the use of their images and likenesses. The case is In re: NCAA Student-Athlete Name & Likness Licensing Litigation.
